“Rajasthan” name in itself is so splendid. Geographically it is the biggest state in India. Camels, long spread deserts, and green vegetation, royal and rich place means Rajasthan. This state is different than other states in India due to its dry and sunny climate, miles and miles spread deserts and sand. This state is divided in two parts due to Arawali mountain range. ‘Marwad’ which has long deserts and ‘Mewar’ which has lush green vegetation and lakes. There were about 100 kingdoms in Rajasthan before independence. Rajasthan was known as ‘Rajputana’ before independence. This state has tradition of brave and mighty kings who were preachers of great art and crafts. Battling with full strength on battle field and if there is any sense of defeat then these kings used to fight with their soul bearing on their swords, they called it ‘Johar’, this how is the tradition of Rajasthan. Women here threw themselves in fire just to save themselves from touch of other men than her husband when their husband died.
